Factory In Lye, Stourbridge
Project Brief
The old Travis Perkins unit in Lye became vacant. We won the contract to carry out the factory dilapidation repairs for the building owner ready for their new tenant.
What we did:
Working as the main factory dilapidation contractor, the project took about 12 weeks to complete. We also carried out some additional items for the incoming tenant. This made the value of the project £180,000.
GI Sykes replaced all the skylights to the roof, carried out refurbishment to the gutters and the roof, coating them in Giromax products which provided the client with a 20-year guarantee.
The internals had some walls removed, and an additional wall erected to provide the incoming tenant with the space they required. All the offices had new LED lighting fitted, were fully redecorated and new carpets and doors installed. The warehouse also had all the lighting changed to LED lighting and the area fully redecorated.
All the toilet areas were fully replaced with new sanitary ware and led lighting, new flooring and the area was fully redecorated. There were 2 new kitchens installed which completed the full internal refurbishment. The rear yard was in need of significant attention, but it has been fully stripped of all the old racking and now forms part of the new tenant’s external storage area
