Camphill Village Trust, Stourbridge
Project Brief
Camphill Village Trust, a current client of ours, asked us to refurbish two of their assisted living properties in Stourbridge and Kidderminster. As a building contractor we were able to undertake the building, painting and decorating and property maintenance elements of the project. Giving them a simple and complete solution.
What we did:
The first property was a second-floor apartment in a converted Victorian building. The works had problems from the start as the property had narrow winding stairs. All the waste stripped out of the apartment was dismantled, carefully carried down the stairs and disposed offsite. Similarly, all the new materials were delivered in flat pack form and carefully lifted into the apartment before building.
The property had a new kitchen and bathroom, plumbing and electrical alterations, full redecoration and replacement flooring throughout.
The second property was a two bed bungalow. Again, the property was completely stripped out. The old kitchen was replaced with new kitchen units, worktops and appliances and the old bathroom was adapted to form an accessible wet room.
The old garage was converted into a habitable room providing additional living space. The property was redecorated, and flooring replaced throughout.
As always, the client was very happy with the quality of the work.
