BISHOP’S CASTLE COLLEGE
Project Brief
Through competitive tender, we were tasked with completing the full internal and external refurbishment of the old sixth form house at Bishop’s Castle Community College.
What we did:
For the external works, we carried out extensive timber repairs to the four
timber dormers, external doors, and rear porch area. The external façade required some repairs, which were completed before we carefully decorated it to improve
and brighten its appearance.
Internally the building did not meet the current fire standards, so we
upgraded all the internal doors, frames, and ironmongery to
provide half hour fire protection throughout the building.
Loose plaster was removed and repaired. The ground and first
floor WCs were upgraded, and the property interior was redecorated.
New flooring was supplied and fitted to the ground floor areas
including carpet tiles to the new classrooms and sheet vinyl
flooring to the kitchen and WCs ready for the school to reoccupy.
