Assa Abloy
Project Brief
Assa Abloy contracted us for decoration of the external facade of their commercial building. Due to being located next to a busy dual carriageway and railway line, the facade had faded and was in need of some repair. They were looking to give it a facelift and create a new look that was more in keeping with the company’s branding and reputation. The works had to be completed during normal working hours, around the company’s busy schedule and staff arriving on site so health & safety was paramount.
What we did:
Working as the main contractor, we had 12 weeks to complete the external decoration of the façade. Continuity of access was important for Assa Abloy, to ensure that their staff and visitors could continue to get into the building easily and safely.
GI Sykes produced a detailed timetable for the works to help minimise disruption, including a traffic management plan to ensure that the car park was in use at all times. We completed thorough risk assessments and implemented the necessary strategies and PPE to ensure that all people on site were kept safe at all times.
We used a 3000-psi specialist jet washer to remove all of the loose paint and colour matched using our in-house service. The project cost 120k and was completed on time.
Assa Abloy were happy with the result and pleased with the service that our skilled workforce provided.
